Dog Paws Boarding Resort began operation in July 2020. The Dog Paws building is a remodeled antique Corn Crib that was created to be a boutique boarding facility offering top quality, safety and love to each and every "kiddo" who stays at the Crib!
Now in our 5th year of operating, Dog Paws has proven that we're the best crib in town, having won the 2024 CommunityVotes Gold Award Winner for Best Kennel and the 2024 Top Pick for Pet Sitter. |

Get to know Auntie KelleyKelley Gaul-Houser, owner and operator of Dog Paws Boarding Resort, has always had the dream of running and operating a boarding facility. Her passion for dogs began at a young age, and she gained expertise in animal care working at a local Veterinarian office throughout high school and college.
Prior to locating the perfect Cedar Rapids location to build Dog Paws, Kelley has served in various human resources leadership roles. Outside of Dog Paws, Kelley is a passionate dog mom. Her "kiddos" live the good life everyday. From training classes and outdoor adventures, to snuggling on the couches and enjoying homemade dog treats, these "four-legged kids" have it made! |
