Kelley Gaul-Houser, Owner Operator, Dog Paws Boarding ResortKELLEY GAUL-HOUSER, OWNER/OPERATOR
Kelley has always had this dream of running and operating a boarding facility!  Throughout high school and college she worked in a local Veterinarian office.
Prior to locating the perfect location to build Dog Paws Boarding Resort, LLC. Kelley and Tim lived in Iowa, Michigan and Alaska!  Kelley has served in various Human Resources Leadership roles.  Kelley is a volunteer of Upper Midwest Great Dane Rescue and currently has two resident Danes from this rescue. Kelley is a passionate dog mom!  Her "kids" live the good life everyday! From training classes and outdoor adventures to snuggling on the couches and enjoying homemade dog treats, these "four-legged kids" have it made!

Tim Houser, CEO of Dog Paws Boarding ResortTIM HOUSER
Tim is my partner in crime and honorary CEO and Chief Operations Officer of Dog Paws Boarding Resort, LLC!  Without my very amazing husband the crib would not exist today. He helped this dream become a reality from the initial CAD drawings to actual construction! His labor of love shows in the details he helped bring to life!  In his free time, Tim enjoys anything about Locomotives.

Herky George Houser, Senior Public Relations Officer, Dog Paws Boarding Resort.HERKY "GEORGE" HOUSER
Herky is our Senior Public Relations Officer.  Tim and I rescued Herky from the Tipton, IA animal shelter after Kelley fell in love with his eyes.  He was named "George" at the shelter thus his middle name stuck.  He is named after the Iowa Hawkeyes which we admit to root for unless they are playing Michigan then it is "Go Blue".   Herky is a fun-loving boy who is our oldest at 8 years old and will smile at us when he is very excited!  Herky also loves "Kitty Cats" and will watch them as shown above.

Bentley, Chief Security Officer, Dog Paws Boarding ResortBENTLEY HOUSER
Bentley is our Chief Security Officer.  Tim and I adopted Bentley from Upper Midwest Great Dane Rescue in 2015.  If you pull into our driveway, Bentley will alert us with his very loud bark.  Bentley unfortunately did not have a good start to his life and was in 5 homes prior to coming into ours.  Bentley is our second oldest and is approximately 7 years old.  This special boy has several quirks that make him unable to interact with other dogs outside his pack and he also is not the best with new people (and most definitely no little kids). Bentley has taught us patience and the dedication of working with difficult behaviors!

Stella Houser, Chief Executive Administrative Assistant, Dog Paws Boarding ResortSTELLA HOUSER
Stella is our Executive Administrative Assistant.  We fell in love with Stella while Kelley was working at a local Veterinarian office.  She is a Mini-Australian Shepherd.  She runs the house and is our dominate little girl. And yes she even bosses the Great Danes around!  Stella is a very special little girl who in fact is the only kiddo who has two middle names! "Stella Marie" when she is being a good girl and "Stella Renae" when she is being a little pistol.  Stella is our middle child and 3 years old!  She also has rare genetic mutation which limits the medications we can provide to her, so special attention is given prior to any administration of meds.  Stella also has the loudest bark out of the bunch!  Stella would be an awesome herding dog if we decided to get goats!  Tim says that she is as "quick as a hiccup" so when you arrive she will be at our gate and loudly barking before you are even out of your car!

Lucy Lou Houser, Safety Officer in Training at Dog Paws Boarding ResortLUCY "LOU" HOUSER
Lucy is our Safety Officer in Training.  Lucy is our newest member of our pack and was a "foster fail" from Upper Midwest Great Dane Rescue in October 2019.  Lucy is just 10 months old.  She is a very shy and timid little girl (well if you call 95+ pounds little).  Kelley has completed two puppy kindergarten training classes with Lucy and she graduated both classes and is a AKC STAR puppy.  Her next adventures will include Puppy Agility classes to help her improve her confidence. She is constantly learning from the other dogs that all situations and people aren't scary!

Tim and Kelley Houser, owners of Dog Paws Boarding Resort
Tim and Kelley have been married for over 10 years.
